Fortnite v11.01 is arriving on October 22 and it will be targeting numerous bugs that have plagued the game since the launch of Chapter 2.
With the arrival of Fortnite Chapter 2, players were introduced to a new map and mechanics, but they were also given a plethora of new bugs.
Players have been complaining about things feeling off since the start of the season, with one major complaint being the frames-per-second stuttering all over the place, making the game feel choppy.
Going into this patch, Epic posted on their Trello board with what is being worked on and made the FPS fixes a top priority.
While we don’t know if those will be fixed for certain, we do have a good idea of what will be in this upcoming update thanks to the Trello.
When does downtime begin?
Downtime for patch v11.01 will take place on October 22 beginning at 4 AM EST / 1 AM PST / 9 AM BST.
Whenever there is downtime, it usually takes a little while and players won’t be able to play in any matches while the patch is being applied.

New Save the World content
Before the battle royale mode took the world by storm, Fortnite was originally just a PvE game mode called Save the World.
These players felt shafted with the release of Chapter 2 after it provided nothing new for them to experience.
With this next update, it looks like Epic will be throwing them a bone with some new content, but we don’t yet know what that will be.
Save the World was supposed to go free-to-play back in 2018 but there’s no telling when it’ll happen now.
All signs are pointed towards 2020 at this point, but without official word from Epic, it’s anyone’s guess.
This is everything we know about v11.01 so far! Stay tuned for the official patch notes once they go live after the update is deployed.
