Fortnite star Turner ‘Tfue‘ Tenney took some amusing shots at the game’s servers and controller aim assist after being asked for a few tips from a hopeful player.
While it is still one of the top multiplayer games in the world, and certainly the most popular battle royale title, Fortnite hasn’t been without its issues – especially when it comes to trying to turn your casual play into a professional career.
In recent weeks players have voiced their concerns with new freezing issues, and have also taken shots at the aim assist given to competitors who use a controller instead of keyboard and mouse. Some have shown off just how ridiculous it is – comparing it to an aimbot – while others, like Tfue, have mocked just how easy they believe it is to use a controller.
So, when one fan decided to donate $20 and ask for some tips on how to improve their Fortnite skill, you could easily guess that the popular streamer was going to take some shots at the game’s issues.
“Well, if you don’t have low ping you better move. If you’re on mouse and keyboard, you better switch to a controller and then you just practice,” said Tfue, much to the enjoyment of his viewers who burst out into laughter spam.

“If you’re not on linear jumping into people’s boxes then switch to legacy, those are some big tips I can give for you,” he noted, adding some further ‘much-needed’ tips. “If you’re not under the age of 18 then, you know, drink a lot of caffeine and shoot stem cells into your eyes because that’s the only way you’re going to keep up. Other than that, I don’t know.”
While plenty of fans could have quickly seen how Tfue was joking, the debate about the game’s problems – especially controller versus keyboard and mouse, and the state of the servers – is still going to rumble on.
Whether or not Epic has plans to address these by, say, separating controller and KB/M players in future events, remains to be seen, but they may have to make a change to appease the current crop of players.
