A League of Legends fan has created a stunning cinematic trailer for the upcoming 2019 World Championship.
Anticipation for the biggest event on the League of Legends calendar is rising with every day, as the start of the tournament on October 2 approaches.
To mark the occasion, League of Legends fan Silvxs has created an incredible trailer for the event, using clips of the various star players and some of the most recognizable moments from the year’s competition to hype up viewers for the coming clash of titans.
The trailer incorporates the running international storylines that began in 2018 – the fall of South Korea, the rise of China, and now the apparent ascendance of Europe as one of the world’s strongest regions – and also highlights key players from around the world, including Fnatic’s Martin ‘Rekkles’ Larsson, DAMWON top-laner Jang ‘Nuguri’ Ha-gwon, and Team Liquid’s Yiliang ‘Doublelift’ Peng.

Many fans are also eagerly anticipating more promotional content from Riot themselves, in particular the release of this year’s Worlds theme song, which is expected to arrive any day now.
No details are currently known about this year’s theme, although there has been some speculation that Lindsey Sterling might be involved, after the popular violinist tweeted a hint back in May that she might be working on something with Riot, the result of which has yet to be revealed.
While Riot haven’t released the 2019 Worlds song yet, they did produce a new version of the classic Worlds orchestral theme for this year’s event, which was accompanied by a video commemorating some of the most iconic plays in the tournament’s history.
It’s also very possible that Riot themselves may produce trailers similar to Silvxs’s ahead of or even during Worlds itself, with the LCS having produced several promotional videos during the Summer playoffs featuring highlights and pro players in a similar manner.
