The Warcraft themed skins are both legendaries and will be awarded to users who purchase the Blizzcon Virtual Ticket and have their accounts linked.
On the official Blizzcon site Blizzard writes, “We’re celebrating 25 years of Azeroth’s past at this year’s BlizzCon—and to mark this legendary occasion on future Earth, we’ve created a pair legendary Overwatch skins representing two iconic Warcraft heroes.”
The two skins will be available in-game before Blizzcon, meaning that users will get the chance to show off before the event begins on November 1.
This is the first time there have been two exclusive Overwatch skins at Blizzcon. Previously, Bastion and Winston received skins in 2016 and 2017. In 2018, Sombra’s Diablo-themed Demon Hunter skin was a limited-time exclusive. Since Blizzard World was revealed, each BlizzCon skin reward has had a crossover element to it and this year is no exception.

So far there’s no indication as to whether the Genji and Symmetra skins will be added to the game as standard skins or if these will remain a limited-time special edition item. Previous BlizzCon rewards were exclusive to BlizzCon attendees or virtual ticket holders, despite Blizzard saying that they would eventually become available outside of this.
Genji’s skin honors Warcraft character Illidan Stormrage, the first of the demon hunters, who has been the poster boy of two World of Warcraft expansions, Burning Crusade and Legion. Meanwhile, Symmetra’s pays homage to Tyrande Whisperwind, a Night Elf and high priestess of the Goddess Elune. She’s one of the leaders of the Night Elves in World of WarCraft and remains an important character to the game’s lore to this day.
The Blizzcon Virtual Ticket will give viewers access to behind-the-scenes panels and provide additional insight into upcoming projects.
There have been many rumors heading into Blizzcon including the possibility of Overwatch 2 or some sort of game expansion with an emphasis on PvE rather than PvP.
Additionally, in the last three Blizzcon opening ceremonies, a new character and animated short has been revealed. Heroes unveiled at Blizzcon since 2016 include Sombra, Moira, and Ashe. The identity of the next hero remains anyone’s guess.
What else is included with the virtual ticket?
There are a number of extras included with the Blizzcon virtual ticket and plenty of special in-game items from all of Blizzard’s franchises.
- World of Warcraft: Players will get a couple of pets representing each faction leader with Finduin for Alliance and Gillvanas for Horde. Additionally, subscribers will receive a Wendigo Woolgies transmog outfit.
