Alex Oxlade-Chamberlain is currently on a Liverpool team that looks as close to unstoppable as we’ve ever seen – and it looks like he’s trying to replicate that form in FIFA 20 Ultimate Team with this stacked squad.
Liverpool hasn’t touched a top-division trophy in almost 30 years, since the 1989/90 season. Trent Alexander-Arnold was still eight years away from being born and Kenny Dalglish was managing the team for the first time.
Now, though, they’re a force to be reckoned with, and this is replicated in the players’ online recreations, with some Liverpool assets essential to being at the top of your FUT game. And this isn’t a fact that’s lost on the Ox.
His side features four current Liverpool players, including his special 99-rated card that FIFA bestows only upon professional players, as noted by Reddit user doherty_96 when he came up against the center-midfielder.
Ox doesn’t show too much of a bias to his Liverpool or England national teammates, though, clearly opting for a solid squad over team allegiances, as he picks to play with some of the world’s best instead.
Oxlade-Chamberlain opts to play in a 4-3-2-1 formation and has stayed loyal to Liverpool manager Jurgen Klopp, who he currently has leading his squad both in and out of the game.

Alex Oxlade-Chamberlain’s FIFA 20 Ultimate Team
- GK: Marc-Andre ter Stegen (91)
- RB: Nélson Semedo (86)
- CB: Marcel Desailly (87)
- CB: Virgil Van Dijk (99)
- LB: Andrew Robertson (86)
- CM: Kevin de Bruyne (93)
- CM: N’Golo Kante (97)
- CM: Patrick Vieira (88)
- RF: Lionel Messi (99)
- ST: Alex Oxlade-Chamberlain (99)
- LF: Sadio Mane (90)
There are definitely some interesting omissions from Ox’s squad – most glaringly, you would expect him to get teammates Allison Becker and Trent Alexander-Arnold in there somewhere, especially as both are more than usable in the current meta.
You would also think he might try to get certain Team of the Year cards in there alongside the van Dijk, Robertson, Messi and Kante he already has. A Mane upgrade would make sense, and both Frenkie de Jong and Matthijs de Ligt could be expensive yet worthy upgrades to the squad.
That said, given Liverpool’s endeavors to conquer all tournaments they’re currently playing in, Ox might not be focusing too much on improving his Ultimate Team.
