With a whopping 48 eliminations, the Fortnite Battle Royale Duos PC world record has been broken again by Bawx and Colson.
The previous record of 46 eliminations probably looked untouchable to a lot of players but these two players managed to top it by two, bringing the new record to 48.
For those keeping score at home, that’s nearly half the lobby of a match, which is no small feat. Bawx provided a video of the match from his partner Colson’s perspective.
It’s going to be hard to top this
With 48 eliminations, it’s going to take a gargantuan effort by another team to see if they can best this.
What’s even more impressive is this record came after the vaulting of the Pump Shotgun, meaning the two players didn’t have it to rely on.
One thing that is missing is Bawx’s perspective, something that he says was corrupted which is why the video from his partner’s view was provided.

Bawx finished with 23 eliminations while Colson had 25, but the two didn’t even appear aware that a record had been broken when they set it, according to the description of the YouTube video.
To top it all off, the pair came away with the Victory Royale, something that isn’t required to break records, but it certainly helps.
We’ve seen more eliminations by a Duo before, as the records on PC and console are 52 and 51 respectively, but those came in the Squads playlist. Bawx and Colson set the record for most eliminations in the Duos playlist on PC.

It’s going be interesting to see records being broken going forward with the vaulting of the Pump Shotgun and the removal of siphon from the normal lobbies.
